Christine is a Doctor in Medicine specialized in Ophthalmology, with a Master in Cell Biology and a diploma of Applied Statistics, She is currently working in Paris at Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in the Ophthalmology Department headed by Pr P. LeHoang, an internationally recognised expert in uveitis. She has acquired a specialization in the uveitis field, for both the medical and surgical management of uveitis patients. She has been the department representative for the official labelling of the centre as “Reference centre for Rare Diseases”. In the clinical research field, She has conducted or participated in the conduct of many studies which have led to international publications.
She has been the principal investigator of a randomised controlled trial assessing interferon alpha treatment in uveitis. She has participated as a co-investigator in many national and international trials Before joining Pr LeHoang’s team, She has worked in the Ophthalmology Department headed by Pr Gabriel Coscas, an internationally recognised expert in age-related macular degeneration.
Therefore She has acquired a great experience in the management of choroidal neovascularisation which has been useful in the wide field of intraocular inflammatory diseases. Regarding training, She has taught posterior uveitis in 5 different academic diploma courses and in continuous medical education She has also participated in many meetings organised by patient associations She has chosen to work for the public health system, after paraprofessional experiences that have included voluntary ophthalmological service in various associations in Columbia and in France.
