Christine Bestvina MD

Christine Bestvina is an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago, specializing in thoracic oncology including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, and thymic malignancies. Her research focus is experimental therapeutics in thoracic oncology and clinical trial design. Additionally, she has performed health services research in advance care planning, managing the project “Improving End-of-Life Care for Oncology Patients at the University of Chicago Medicine.” She works as a research collaborator with several basic scientists, focusing on epigenetic modification in non-small cell lung cancer.
