Christina Fleming PhD, FRCSI

Christina A. Fleming is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at University Hospital Limerick in Ireland. He completed his final year of General and Colorectal Surgery SpR and she has previously completed a PhD. She is a current Chair and past Secretary of the ISRC. She was the project lead for ISRC’s first project, a National study of perioperative fluid management in elective colectomy (PERFECT). As Chair, she aims to grow the collaborative both in number and in the ability to deliver high-quality multicenter research with real patient impact while also promoting mentoring and leadership development opportunities within the committee. She looks forward to continued work with the Irish Forum for Surgical Research to develop surgical research training and a robust network of research opportunities for surgical trainees throughout Ireland.
