Christina C. Smith MD

Dr. Christina Smith practices general adult psychiatry at Wellspring Clinic. Dr. Smith was raised in North Alabama and graduated with a BS in Biology with Honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1998. She entered the University of Alabama School of Medicine, graduating in 2002 and went on to complete an internship in General Pediatrics and a residency in General Psychiatry at UAB, both with honors, graduating in 2006. She is certified by the board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been recognized as a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Smith has a special interest in anxiety disorders and depression, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder, and women’s mental health, including post-partum issues. Dr. Smith is also a wife and mother of three young children.
