Christian W. Mende MD, FACP, FACN, FASN, FASH

Christian W Mende, MD FACP FACN FASN FASH, is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Mende has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Islet Sciences, Inc. since March 2012. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hypertension, Nutrition and Nephrology. He is board certified in nephrology, internal medicine and clinical hypertension.
Dr. Mende has been widely published in scientific journals such as the American Journal of Nephrology, the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Kidney International. He attended the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and completed his internal medicine residency in Tucson, Arizona. He received postgraduate training as a National Institutes of Health fellow in nephrology, at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
