Christian Schetter PhD

Christian Schetter, a member of the executive board of BIO Deutschland, has been appointed chief executive officer of Rigontec GmbH which is developing RNA-based therapeutics for cancer and viral diseases. Dr. Schetter was formerly CEO of Neovia Biotech GmbH, previously Fresenius Biotech GmbH. Prior to joining Fresenius, Dr. Schetter headed European operations at Coley Pharmaceutical Group Inc, a developer of immunostimulatory oligonucleotides.

Dr. Schetter holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cologne and did postdoctoral research in oncology and virology at the Scripps Research Institute in the US.
