Trained in France, Dr. Pagnoux graduated from medical school in 1995 and completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine and clinical immunology in Paris in 2002. He was then appointed as assistant professor in the departments of internal medicine, first at Pitie-Salpetriere then in Cochin Hospital, in the division directed by his long-time mentor Professor Loic Guillevin, who created the French Vasculitis Study Group (FVSG). He has served since 2003 as vice-president of this research group and continues to be involved in several therapeutic trials and cohort studies in vasculitis conducted by FVSG in France or by the European Vasculitis Study Group. Dr. Pagnoux also obtained a Master’s degree in advanced immunology from the Pasteur Institute in 1999 and another in methodology of clinical trials from the Diderot University.
