Christian Mallen BMedSci, BMBS, MMedSci, MPhil, PhD, FRCGP, FFPH

Christian Mallen is an NIHR Research Professor and Director of Academic General Practice at Keele University.He qualified from Nottingham University in 1998 and completed his general practice training in North Staffordshire where he developed his interest in combining primary care research with clinical practice.

Hi early career was supported by Arthritis Research UK through Doctoral Training Fellowship and Clinician Scientist award, allowing him to pursue his interest in improving clinical outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. He currently leads a large portfolio of studies focusing on improving the diagnosis and management of common musculoskeletal disorders in primary care.
