Christian Gachet MD, PhD

Dr. Christian Gachet graduated as an MD (1985) and gained his PhD in Pharmacology (1991), at the University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France. He is currently the Director of the INSERM Research Unit 1255 and the Director at Etablissement Français du Sang-Grand Est. Dr. Gachet's general interest is in platelet physiology and pharmacology and in various topics related to transfusion medicine. Dr. Gachet has published over 300 papers in his area of expertise. He is a recipient of the Biennial Award for Contributions to Haemostasis (ISTH, 2013, Amsterdam). He is the corresponding member of the French National Academy of Medicine since 2018.
