Professor Chris Imray is the President of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland. He is an academic NHS Vascular Surgeon based at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He trained at Charing Cross Hospital before moving to the West Midlands to undertake research.
His interests are broad and include multidisciplinary working, fitness for vascular and renal transplant surgery, cerebral perfusion in both hypoxia and ischemia, and high-altitude medicine. Professor Imray is a world expert in frostbite management. He is Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at UHCW NHS Trust has Honorary Chairs at Warwick Medical School, Coventry University, and Exeter University, and is Honorary Civilian Advisor to the British Army for Vascular Surgery.
