Chirojit Mukherjee FASE, MBA, MD, PhD

Dr. Chirojit Mukherjee is after finishing school and studying in his home country of India, he began working at the Leipzig Heart Center and at the Helios Park Clinic in Leipzig. From 2005 to 2007 he went to Toronto, Canada, where he completed the fellowship program for cardiac anesthesia and intensive care medicine (including organ transplantation) at the General Hospital there and at the University of Toronto. After his stay in Canada, he worked again for the Heart Center Leipzig and in 2013 he completed his successful dissertation. Since May 2015, Dr. Mukherjee is the chief physician for anesthesiology and is, therefore, an integral part of the medical team at the Helios Clinic for Cardiac Surgery in Karlsruhe.

Dr. Chirojit Mukherjee is particularly interested in echocardiography, especially real-time 3D TEE, innovations in percutaneous valve implantations, and imaging in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Dr. Mukherjee received the 2012 Raymond Martineau Award from the Canadian Society of Anaesthesiology (CAS) for Best Scientific Paper and Presentation
