Dr. Ching-Chung Liang was the one who had once served as the first Director of said division. There were a total of 6 Urogynecology specialists who provided professional and high-quality medical service. In terms of equipment and devices, the urodynamic examination room was built in 1995; the bladder function reconstruction room was built in 1999 which provides patients with no-surgery treatment. CGMH utilized incontinence minimally invasive surgery to reach the second-to-none achievement in Taiwan.
As a senior urogynecology specialty in Asia, the team also plays an influential role in medical education. The papers that the urogynecology team has published rank the highest in Asia for both quality and quantity. Additionally, the team has actively participated in various international medical activities or seminars. The team was also appraised as the sole hospital for researcher training in Taiwan by the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA).
