Chin Ooi PhD

Dr Chin Chin Ooi is a Senior Principal Radiographer in the Radiography Department at SGH. She specializes in ultrasound modality and has over 20 years of experience in clinical sonography. She completed her PhD in Medical Imaging from Monash University, Australia in 2015. Her research focuses on the application of ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis and treatment monitoring of musculoskeletal problems. Dr Ooi is the Research Lead for the Radiography Department. She has also been appointed Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). In both capacities, she has played key leadership roles in promoting research and education excellence among allied health professionals. She is currently the Director of the Postgraduate Sonography Programme in SIT. She is a passionate educator, presenting regularly at local and national conferences as well as conducting workshops for diagnostic ultrasound professionals.
