Chia Whay Kuang John MBBS, MRCP, FAMS

Dr John WK Chia is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Department of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Center Singapore. He is Visiting Consultant, KK Womens and Childrens Hospital and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine, National University of Singapore. After completing his undergraduate Medical training at the National University of Singapore he obtained his membership at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh in 2002. He trained with Professor Malcom Brenner and Professor Stephen Gottschalk at the Centre for Cell and Gene Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston from 2009-2010 in the field of cancer vaccines and immunotherapy, and completed a fellowship in Gynecological Cancers with Prof Stan Kaye and Susanna Banerjee at The Royal Marsden Hospital London. He is active in cancer research and has developed several phase 1, 2 and 3, investigator-initiated clinical trials in the field of immunotherapy, gynecological and colorectal cancer. He is married with 2 active children and in his spare time, enjoys collecting Contemporary Chinese Ink Paintings and Asian Pottery.
