Chen-kuei Chung MD, PhD

Dr Chen-Kuei Chung received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees of Materials from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 1989 and 1994 respectively. From 1994 to 2002, he worked in Industrial Technology Research Institute for further technology research and development including the process development and integration of MEMS technologies and key components such as inkjet printhead, IR sensor array and biochip. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (ME/NCKU) in August, 2002, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2005, and then to full Professor in 2009. He has published more than 125 Int’l Journal Papers, 5 book chapters and more than 100 Int’l Conference Papers and holds more than 35 patents granted. Dr. Chung’s research interests are micro-nano material science and engineering, and fabrication, characterization and process integration of MEMS/NEMS devices for sensor, actuator and LIGA application, especially in the advanced hybrid pulse anodization, characterization and application.
