Chaudhry Aqeel Safdar is currently working as a Professor of Surgery and Head of Paediatric Surgery at Fazaia Medical College and PAF Teaching Hospital. His professional experience is varied and comprehensive in the fields of neonatal and paediatric surgery. His special interests are given below: Neonatal Surgery: congenital atresia, anorectal malf, Hirschsprung's, and wall defects, biliary atresia, choledochal cysts, diaphragmatic hernias, intestinal obstructions. Neoplastic surgery: Wilms, neuroblastomas, sarcomas, teratomas, in a multidisciplinary setting. Urology includes all varieties of hypospadias, PUJs, and exstrophy bladder. Trauma and emergency surgery for children. Medical Education: Dean of Post Graduate Training - AFPGMI. Professor – Undergraduate Medical Education. Medical educationalist: MCPS-HPE (Masters); certified surgical trainer & member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of RCS of Edinburgh, UK. Main roles: faculty development, structured training, CPD and curriculum modernization. Research & Publications: Active involvement in Paediatric surgery and Medical education spanning over the past 30 years and more than 70 publications, chapters in three Int books and a frequent guest speaker at conferences.
