Charmaine Tam PhD

Charmaine is the project lead for the SPEED-EXTRACT study, a proof-of-concept project using electronic medical records to examine the characteristics, management and outcomes of patients presenting with chest pain to facilities across Sydney Health Partners (SHP), one of Australia’s first Advanced Research Translation Centres. Charmaine views her role as an analytics translator and has worked in high-performing interdisciplinary analytics teams contributing to a suite of eMR projects across SHP. Her vision is that information within clinical information systems can be harnessed to deliver more appropriate, efficient and sustainable care services, as well as holding vast potential to address diverse questions for medical and health services research.
