Charlotte Brun Thorup PhD

Charlotte Brun Thorup is a registered nurse with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science and she received her PhD in 2016 from the institute of Health Science and Technology at Aalborg University, Denmark. Together with a colleague, she is responsible for nursing research in Clinic ABK at Aalborg University Hospital. She is a passionate advocate for telemedicine as a tool to improve access to care, quality of care and the sustainability of health care systems both at hospitals and in the patient’s homes. Her main interest is how health technology and telemedicine is transforming care and caring relations. She is the author of several publications, communications and invited papers at national and international conferences.
