Charles Y. Liu MD, PhD

Dr. Charles Liu is an accomplished and experienced researcher and neurosurgeon trained at the University of Michigan, Rice University, Yale and the University of Southern California. Dr. Liu received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D in chemical engineering from the George R. Brown School of Engineering Institute of Biosciences and Bioengineering at Rice University in Houston.

He earned his medical degree from Yale University and completed his internship in surgery from University of Southern California-affiliated hospitals and his residency in neurological surgery from USC-affiliated hospitals. He holds a clinical fellowship in spinal surgery from USC-affiliated hospitals and a post-doctoral fellowship in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.
