Charles Wakefield

Wakefield earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, and completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) two year residency in the United States Army Dental Corps at Fort Knox, KY. Dr. Wakefield loves working with patients to achieve their smile goals, and has extensive experience in dental practice, research, and education making him an ideal choice for dental care in Lewisville.

Dr. Wakefield is a retired US Army Colonel and served in the Dental Corps for 21 years. He has served as an AEGD Residency Director for 27 years, with the last 20 years at Baylor College of Dentistry, where he was also a tenured full professor.

Dr. Wakefield has been named one of the Top Dentists by his peers, and has earned Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry, the Certifying Board of General Dentistry, and the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry.
