Dr. Burke trained as a Department resident from 1997-2001, serving as Chief Resident from 1999-2000. He completed a Vascular-Interventional Radiology fellowship in the Department in 2002. Apart from spending 2005-2006 in private practice in his home state of Arkansas, Dr. Burke has worked as an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Department since completing his fellowship and was promoted to Professor of Radiology in 2016. In 2003, 2006 and 2007, Dr. Burke was named “America’s Top Radiologist” by Consumers Research Council of America. He received the Department’s Charles A. Bream Teaching Award (selected by residents) in 2004.
