Charles Scott Brudney MB BCh, MD, PhD

Associate Professor Scott Brudney is an anaesthesiologist and critical care physician at the Departments of Medicine, Critical Care and Anesthesiology, Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, NC, USA. Professor Brudney has been an active faculty member at Duke University for the past 10 years and works in the Department of Anesthesiology as an intensivist as well as an anaesthesiologist. He is also a member of the Department of Medicine, where he works as an intensivist in the Duke Raleigh Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Professor Brudney is also Medical Director on the Surgical ICU at the Veteran’s Affairs in Durham and also Medical Director for the Critical Care Department at the Duke Raleigh Hospital. His medical training began in Cardiff, Wales, and was followed by a medicine residency in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, UK, and an anaesthesia/ICU residency at the University of Birmingham, UK. Professor Brudney is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine of the UK. He has authored multiple publications.
