Dr. Charles M. Perou, Ph.D. is a Professor of Molecular Oncology and Faculty Director of the UNC Lineberger Bioinformatics Group at the University of North Carolina. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Utah and Bachelor of Science at Bates College. His Clinical Interests are Breast Cancer Research, Cancer Genetics, Bioinformatics, Genomics, and Epidemiology. He is a member of the AACR, ASCO, the ALLIANCE Breast Committee, and the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium. He has also co-founded three genomics-based biotechnology companies that are bringing new genomic tests into clinical care.
