Charles F. Koopmann Jr. MD, MHSA

Charles F. Koopmann, Jr., MD, graduated from medical school at Northwestern University and completed his residency in Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa in 1975. Currently, he has a joint appointment as professor of the department of Otolaryngology ? Head and Neck Surgery and the department of Pediatrics, at the University of Michigan, where he has also held many administrative positions.

In addition to his professorship, Dr. Koopmann maintains an active medical practice. He has been a research grant recipient, member of numerous professional societies, served on editorial boards and committees, and contributed to peerreviewed publications. Dr. Koopmann has been a visiting professor at several institutions, given many seminars and extramural invited presentations. He has served on the BOD for more than a decade and has been recognized with a Certificate of Honors for Distinguished Services in Scientific Programs, Exhibits, and Instruction Courses, the Board of Governors Service Recognition Award, and a Presidential Citation for six years of service as the Coordinator of Socioeconomic Affairs.
