Dr. Charles Guo is an internationally recognized surgical pathologist subspecializing in genitourinary (GU) pathology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the largest cancer centers in the US. After pathology residency training at New York University Medical Center, he received genitourinary pathology fellowship training with Dr. Jonathan Epstein at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
He joined the Department of Pathology at MD Anderson in 2006, and he is currently an Associate Professor in the GU Pathology Section. His daily practice is focused on pathologic diagnosis of genitourinary neoplastic diseases, including prostate, urinary bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. He evaluates a large number of biopsies and surgical specimens from patients who are treated at MD Anderson. He also reviews a variety of complex GU cases from patients who come to MD Anderson for treatment with their pathology materials from all over the world. In addition, He frequently provides expert opinions to help general surgical pathologists reach the correct diagnoses on challenging GU consultation cases.
