Rev. Dr. Charles Antwi-Boasiako joined the department of Physiology as a faculty since 2005. He began his distinguished training and career path at the University of Ghana. He completed both his MPhil and Ph.D. training in Physiology at the University of Ghana Medical School. He continued and completed his post-doctoral training in Hematology at the University of Washington, USA. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Physiology department at the University of Ghana Medical School, a position he has held since 2014. He has also been appointed the Chairman of the Chaplaincy Board of the University of Ghana. His research interests span several topics in sickle cell disease including nitric oxide and mechanisms of vasodilatation, cardiac and pulmonary complications, fetal hemoglobin modulation, pain, Electrolyte Homeostasis, and renal complications.
