Chad Johanning MD, FAAFP

Dr. Chad Johanning is a board-certified family physician, he is a proud Jayhawk, and a two-time graduate with degrees in biology and medicine from the University of Kansas. Dr. Johanning completed his residency training at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency in Wichita. Prior to joining Lawrence Family Practice Center in 2014, Dr. Johanning practiced in Atchison, KS for several years. Dr. Johanning enjoys offering preventive care, procedures and pediatric/well-child care. Additionally, he performs colonoscopies at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for screening and diagnostic purposes.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Johanning is involved with the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, serving as President in 2020-2021, and currently serves as co-chair of the Governmental Advocacy Committee. He is the former department chair of Family Medicine at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and continues to participate with hospital leadership. He is also a board representative of Aledade Kansas ACO, the accountable care organization of which Lawrence Family Practice Center is a member.
