Cecilia Gouveia PhD

Cecilia Gouveia holds a degree in Physical Education from OSEC (1987) and in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of São Carlos (1993); a master's degree (1996) and a doctorate (2000) in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo, having completed the entire experimental phase of his doctorate at the University of California, Los Angeles (1997-2000). She completed his postdoctoral studies at the Department of Cell Biology, ICB, USP, between 2000 and 2001. She is currently a professor at the Department of Anatomy, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo. She has experience in the study of Bone Physiology, with an emphasis on investigating the effects of Thyroid Hormone on bone development and metabolism.
