Catriona Manville BSc, PhD

Dr Catriona Manville is a Senior Analyst in the innovation, health and science team at RAND Europe. She has managed and worked on a number of projects for the pharmaceutical industry to explore policy issues around research and innovation and healthcare delivery in a range of disease areas. Recently she worked on a project for Pfizer looking at access to Real world data in Europe, and the role of different stakeholders. Catriona is currently seconded part time to the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) working on business intelligence, and managing the impact assessment of NIHR-funded research. Whilst at RAND, Catriona has also undertaken research, policy analysis and evaluation studies for clients in a variety of sectors including the European Commission and Parliament, higher education institutions, pharmaceutical industry, public private partnerships, and public health. Catriona has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Newcastle University where she specialised in the propensity of drug therapies to cause cancer. As part of her Ph.D., she spent a year working in the genetic toxicology department at GSK
