Cathy Bones MBChB

Dr. Cathy Bones is currently working at E reports as Consult Occupational Physician. Dr. Bones has taken on a dual role at PDH as the new Director of Medical Services starting on November 5 and also working one day per week in the Emergency Department. The corridors of PDH are nothing new to Dr. Bones whose first medical appointment in Australia was in Portland. Dr. Bones was a GP in the United Kingdom for nearly 10 years before migrating to Australia in 2000, to Portland, under the overseas trained doctor scheme. She worked in private practice before gaining her Australasian Fellowship in General Practice in 2002 and starting her own practice. She combined general practice with sessions at Portland Aluminium in occupational medicine and was also a visiting medical officer at PDH where she managed inpatients and took part in the on-call roster until 2005.
