Catherine S. Tamis-LeMonda is the past 25 years She has been studying the cognitive, language and social development of infants and toddlers from different cultural backgrounds. she investigate the role of early experiences, particularly interactions with mothers and fathers, in children’s learning and later school readiness. she is especially intrigued by the ways that skills in one area of development (as basic as learning how to walk) can affect skills in other areas of development (such as social engagements with people and objects) – a phenomenon referred to as “developmental cascades”.
