Catherine Malia, St Gemma's first nurse consultant, will lead on the development of nurse-led end of life beds within the hospice's inpatient ward. Catherine Malia took on the role of nurse consultant on Monday, 3 August. She has worked at St Gemma's Hospice since 1999, initially as a staff nurse and team leader and more recently as an advanced nurse practitioner.
