Catherine Heinzinger is a physician-scientist with 3 main roles: 1) licensed clinical practitioner at the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute Sleep Disorders Center, 2) NIH-funded T32 scholar on the Supporting Multidisciplinary Achievement in Respiratory Research Training (SMARRT) grant at the Cleveland Clinic, and 3) master’s student in the Clinical Research Scholars Program at Case Western Reserve University.

She is board-certified in Family Medicine since completing her residency at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University in Connecticut and board-certified in Sleep Medicine since completing her fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Her research interests lie at the intersection of sleep disorders and cardiovascular health. Her experience thus far has been primarily within the clinical and epidemiological realms, however, she is currently writing a proposal with a basic translational aspect to broaden her experience.
