Cate Seton-jones MBBS

Cate joined Phyllis Tuckwell in September 2009. Her role is half patient facing and half managerial - ranging from ward rounds, patient reviews, assessing junior doctors and getting involved in the most difficult of patient related decisions (e.g. ethical or legal treatment-related cases), to help plan and implement the clinical strategy, liaise with hospitals and CCGs and help monitor the clinical governance of PTHC. This is to help maintain the excellent quality of care we offer and continuing to improve it further. As the responsible officer for the doctors of PTHC, Cate works with the General Medical Councils (GMC) to ensure that all the doctors are fit to practice and up to date. When asked why she loves working at PTHC, Cate said “I get real job satisfaction by making a real difference to patients and their families at what is for them a most difficult and awful time”.
