Casy Righy graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000), residency in Internal Medicine at the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital (2002), and in Intensive Care at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital (2004). Specialist in Intensive Care by AMIB (2005). Master's Degree in Internal Medicine/Intensive Care from UFRJ (2007) and Doctorate in Clinical Research in Infectious Diseases from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2014). Postdoctoral fellow at the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France - 2018/2019). She is currently a Researcher at the Laboratory of Intensive Medicine - National Institute of Infectology - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and supervisor of the CTI of the State Institute of the Brain, as well as an instructor at CITIN (Course of Intensive Neurological Therapy) and CAMI (Updating Course in Intensive Medicine) - AMIB. He is also president of the Brazilian Association of Neurointensivism and a member of the Sedation, Analgesia, and Delirium and Long-Term Outcomes committees of the Brazilian Association of Intensive Medicine (AMIB). He has a special interest in topics related to neurocritical patients, the pathophysiology of subarachnoid hemorrhage, and infections in neurological patients.
