Caspar Van Munster MD, PhD

Dr. Caspar van Munster started at Amphia as a general neurologist with a focus on multiple sclerosis (MS). After his medical training in Utrecht, he started his neurology training at the St Lucas Andreas Hospital in Amsterdam (now OLVG). During this training, he did a research internship on abnormalities of the gray matter in the brain and brain networks in people with MS. After his training, he did a 2.5-year fellowship at the MS center Amsterdam in Vumc, and in 2021 he received his PhD in clinical assessment of MS patients. Over time, he has further focused on the diagnosis and treatment of various headache syndromes such as migraine and cluster headaches. Since 2022, he has been the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) of Amphia and in this role, he is allowed to contribute to the digital transition in healthcare.
