Carrie joined Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc. in 2014. Since being hired she has led in the development of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Services, and Diabetes Prevention Programs. She serves as NMHC’s American Diabetes Association Education Recognized Program Quality Coordinator. In addition, she is the co-coordinator of the CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program, where she also plays a role as a lifestyle coach. In this capacity, she is responsible directing, coordinating and managing lifestyle program development, implementation and evaluation.

Carrie is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator with the American Association of Diabetes Educators. In 2008, she completed her Master of Public Health from Kansas State University. Her graduate research concentration was in nutrition, physical activity and the use of behavior change theories. She has enjoyed transitioning to an expert in the field of diabetes treatment and prevention for the Northeast Missouri population.
