Dr. Carrie Frederick is a board-certified anesthesiologist who has been specializing in anesthesia for outpatient and office-based surgery centers for the last 30 years. She completed her medical training at the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine in New York and then moved to Portland, Maine to complete her residency in anesthesia.

In addition to practicing anesthesia, Dr. Frederick is a retired Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in Anesthesia who was involved with the education of nurse anesthesia students at the University of New England, College of Health Professionals from 2005-2013. She also guests lectured at the University's College of Medicine and supervised UNE students, at all levels, during clinical rotations. In 2010 she served as the Interim Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Program at UNE and was a member of the Advisory Board to the Maine Board of Registration in Medicine for PA Affairs. Dr. Frederick was awarded the University of New England's Distinguished Graduate Teaching Award for the 2010-2011 academic year. She continues to teach and tutor students at all levels in the healthcare field.
