Caroline Nicholson PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons), RGN

Caroline is a Senior Clinical Lecturer working between the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, King’s College London and St Christopher’s Hospice. This unique partnership allows her to research and contribute to the strategic development and clinical management of supportive and end of life care services for older people living and dying with advanced frailty /multiple morbidities.

Caroline has worked in the NHS for over 30 years, both directly as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care, and more recently as a nurse academic. Her research programme focuses on the intersection between gerontological and end of life care, as well as the capacities and frailties of people living in late old age.
