Dr. Mitnick graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester in 1988 with a B.A. in political science and French. She spent 1986-1987 in Paris, France, studying at L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques and L’University of Paris IV. In 1996, she received a masters in international health epidemiology and ecology from the Harvard School of Public Health, and in 2001 she completed a doctor of science degree in international health epidemiology and ecology, also at the Harvard School of Public Health.
