Carole Bourquin MD, PhD

Carole Bourquin was appointed as Full Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine (Department of anesthesiology, pharmacology, and intensive care) as well as at the Faculty of Sciences (Geneva-Lausanne School of Pharmacy) of the University of Geneva. Her research topics include innate immunity, nanoparticle-based drug delivery, and anticancer immunity. In particular, Carole Bourquin’s laboratory develops novel strategies to fight cancer by taking advantage of the power of the immune system. During her lecture, Professor Bourquin presented the fundamental and clinical aspects of her work, the major breakthroughs in cancer immunotherapy, and the available treatments for cancer patients.
