Carol Meyer Sokolowski BS

Carol Meyer Sokolowski has over 34 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry working across geographies and functions to develop and successfully launch new products addressing the needs of patients all over the world. Her expertise is in organizational strategy, program leadership, project management and leading global, cross-functional teams. Carol has worked with many project teams throughout her career in defining product strategy, designing and implementing innovative project plans and driving project results to advance new medicines through the R&D process to successful product launches. She has a solid track record in leading organizational change across geographies and implementing effective, global collaboration while driving high levels of performance.

Carol is currently an independent consultant fully dedicated to Takeda Pharmaceuticals R&D. She is leading the implementation of a recently defined patient centricity strategy to connect Takeda R&D teams directly with patients, incorporating their input into asset strategies and development plans. In this role she leads the R&D Patient Engagement Core Team charged with providing guidance, support and tools to teams in defining and implementing their patient engagement plans. The goal is to enable R&D to shift their focus of developing drugs for patients to developing drugs with patients.
