Carol Jane Whelan MB ChB, MD, FRCP

Dr. Whelan graduated from St Andrews University with a BSc in Medical Science in 1991 and then from Manchester University with MBChB in 1994. After a SHO rotation in general medicine, she was awarded the MRCP in 2000. Following this, she undertook a period of organized research training for 3 years at Glasgow University obtaining an MD degree. She was then appointed to the North West Thames Specialist Registrar training scheme in London in cardiology and general medicine. During this time, she was competitively appointed as Senior Fellow in heart failure and echocardiography at St. Mary’s Hospital.
