Carmen Morales PhD

Dr Carme Morales is the laboratory Coordinator of The PGD lab in Kuwait. She obtained her degree in Biology in 2000 at the University of Barcelona. After that, she started working at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, first as a scholarship holder of a grant of the Spanish Ministry of Health and later as a Specialist in the Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Service, where she developed her research in the field of molecular cytogenetics.

In 2011 obtained her PhD in genetics at the University of Barcelona. In 2012, she started working at the genetic laboratory Centre for Embryo Medicine (Barcelona), specialized in PDG, and in 2014 moved to Kuwait to set-up and start a new PGD laboratory, The PGD lab. She has been teacher in the Master of Genetic Assessment (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) from 2008 to 2013. She has published 20 peer reviewed publications, collaborated in several research projects.
