Carlos Saez Silvestre PhD

Researcher at the Biomedical Data Science Lab (ITACA Institute) of the Universitat Politècnica de València. PhD in Healthcare and Wellbeing Technologies, more than 30 research publications, participation in several European, National and private projects, and two National projects led. His current research focuses on biomedical data quality assessment methods from the perspective of data variability. Two of his publications were selected as best of published worldwide by the International Medical Informatics Association in the fields of Secondary Use of Patient Data (2016) and Health Information Systems (2013). He has been visiting research fellow at the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School (2018) and the Center for Health Technology and Services Research at the University of Porto (2013). At the Universitat Politècnica de València he collaborates teaching Data Quality and Interoperability, Health Information Systems and Bioinformatics.
