Carlos Morillo, MD, FRCP(C), FACC Professor (FT), Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine Director of the Arrhythmia Service at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario Dr. Carlos A. Morillo is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist and currently the Director of the Arrhythmia Service at McMaster University. His main research interests are related to the development of clinical trials in the area of cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, and treatment of Chagas Disease. Similarly, he has a long-lasting interest in developing new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and autonomic disorders. Dr. Morillo has published over 130 articles in peered reviewed journals and several book chapters in well-known Cardiology textbooks. Dr. Morillo has also developed clinical pathways to improve the management and assessment of patients with atrial fibrillation and syncope who present to the emergency department.
