After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in Philosophy in 1992, Dr. Reyes attended the Chicago Medical School, where he obtained his M.D. and Masters Degree in Applied Physiology. He earned Alpha Omega Alpha Honors, which acknowledges the top 10% of medical students in the nation, and was also awarded the Chicago Medical School Board of Trustees Scholarship Award, given to the highest ranked medical student in the Clinical Sciences.

Dr. Reyes is Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and is Clinical Faculty at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in both Departments. He is also the Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California. In 2011, he was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award at Los Robles Hospital, the first ER physician ever to be given this award. In 2012, Dr. Reyes was elected Vice Chief of Medical Staff by his peers at Los Robles Hospital, representing 600 physicians in over 50 specialties.
