Caitlin Millett, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Institute of Behavioral Sciences at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research and in the Department of Psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital. She received her doctorate in neuroscience from Penn State College of Medicine and performed her postdoctoral training in psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Millett specializes in researching mood disorders, specifically bipolar disorder (BD). As an assistant professor at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, she focuses on studying the function of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in BD and how BBB dysfunction influences clinical aspects of the illness, such as mood and cognition. Additionally, her research explores the influence of loneliness and social support on the outcomes of the disorder.
