Cai Roberts PhD

Cai M. Roberts is a researcher and educator looking to build a career where Roberts can apply his love for and fascination with biology to make a difference for patients fighting cancer and educate the next generation of researchers and practitioners. His current research focuses on two processes that account for an overwhelming majority of ovarian cancer deaths: metastatic recurrence and drug resistance. He is working to identify cellular signals that connect these two phenomena and to open the door to targeting these pathways for therapeutic benefit. His work combines molecular and cellular biology approaches, including gene editing and mutational analyses.
