C. Ross Carter MBChB, FRCS, FRCS, MD

Ross Carter was born and educated in Northern Ireland before moving to Scotland and graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1983. He was appointed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary in 1996 as Consultant Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon. He has developed a particular interest in the surgical, laparoscopic and endoscopic management of pancreatic disease, particularly the minimally invasive management of the complications arising from severe acute pancreatitis. He is the current President of the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, and has been the Honorary Secretary of both the British Society of Gastroenterology Pancreatic Section and the PSGB&I.
